CARROT JUICE

There has been some quite extensive research into whether or not carrot juice is healthy for the liver. The scientists believe that it seems to be that it is very healthy for the liver. Carrot juice loaded with vital nutrients that help keep the body's largest organ functioning properly, these nutrients include vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin B6, calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin K, and many others. Recent studies have show that this vitamin and mineral cocktail improves the overall tissue health within the liver, as well as increasing blood flow. To benefit the liver from drinking carrot juice, studies have shown that it should be consumed in moderation daily, and over a lengthy period of time. If your goal is to improve the overall health of your liver, then you should also abstain from drinking coffee, alcohol, and carbonated soft drinks.
Probably the most important aspect of carrot juice that contributes to a healthy liver, is vitamin A. Carrot juice is the largest source of dietary vitamin A out of any other foods or drinks. A regular intake of moderate levels of vitamin A have shown to greatly increase the overall health of the liver, as well as detoxify it. This is a great and natural way to cleanse the liver, without having to undertake any radical or extreme dietary measures. Despite all of the health benefits for the liver presented by carrot juice, there is also a flip side. Too much vitamin A within your liver can lead to toxicity, which can in turn badly damage the organ. To avoid consuming too much vitamin A, you should only consume between eight and twenty four ounces of the juice daily, and not exceed that amount. Like all healthy things in life, the key is moderation.

Foods that Heal

This is the juicer I have had since 1978. I highly recommend you to purchase it. Mine has alot of miles on it but still works excellantly. My only need is a newer one which is not so difficult to open. At this time I can not open it because of my hand weakness. When I say mine has alot of miles on it I not only mean much use over the last 30 + years.....I actually took this juicer to Reno, Nevada when I flew out there to live over 27 years ago. I guarded it with my life the entire trip.It has served me well and when I get a new juicer someday this one will be handed on to my 33 year old son as his hands are much stronger than mine.

My deepest belief aside from my belief in Jesus Christ being the Son of God who came to earth to die for my (and yours) sins, is my belief that natural foods, the way God intended it for our bodies, will help heal or prevent illness depending upon how we utilize these foods. Choice. We all make and have the luxury of making choices in this lifetime.
Today I will write about a recent finding of my having arthritis in my hands. My recent surgery, 2x in 12 months, left me with a bone removal in both hands. It is a bone which controls the thumb. This procedure is called Arthroplasty of the thumb. I have read recently where the typical patient is a female age 50-70. I am turning 58 in a couple weeks, so I guess for medical evaluations I am right on schedule! It is often a debilitating disease. Thank God for my doctor and others who can perform this surgery. Or in the near future I may have become quite disabled.
There is no known cause or known cure for arthritis of any form. Over use, heavy weights, contact sports, weight lifting, and now computers, any overuse or stress caused to this area can have the end result over time to a form of arthritis. Add in a vitamin deficiency or poor food absorption and the end result is some type of illness in the body.
Foods I have found recommended are a high protein diet of poultry, fish, meat, eggs, dairy, nuts, whole grains and seeds, Organically fruits and vegetables eaten raw and fresh. B complex, C & D vitamins. No tobacco, alcohol or junk foods consumed. Fish oils along with vitamin A.
So my needs for a diet to help MS & now arthritis will need altering as I can fit into my daily schedule. But ultimately fresh juicing is an absolute must to get my body functioning well again. Hopefully as the hands heal and I get a newer model juicer which is easier to use with my weak hands I will be on my way to being victorious over both of these hindrances at this time. I am not a person to settle for anything less than what I want in this lifetime and I will not do so in this area of my life, nutrition. Life means LIVING, and living is exactly what I wish to accomplish in a higher level.
